Illustrative business cases

The following scenarios show how an engagement could be structured. They are illustrative business cases, not completed Averanta assignments, client references or promised results.

Industrial engineering India capability

Business situation. A global engineering enterprise is evaluating an India capability spanning applications, analytics and selected engineering support.

Proposed work. Define the enterprise charter and retained responsibilities; assess location and talent options; model phased capacity and cost; plan specialist mobilisation; establish transition readiness and service governance.

Outputs. A decision-ready business case, capability blueprint, mobilisation plan and governance model.

Value test. Compare the proposed operation with the existing delivery baseline, including transition cost, management effort, quality and continuity. Review when the capability becomes operational and when it can assume additional responsibility.

Financial services security improvement

Business situation. A financial institution has inconsistent privileged-access ownership and unresolved findings across critical systems.

Proposed work. Confirm authorised scope; map accounts and access processes; prioritise gaps; implement an agreed first wave through security specialists; establish access reviews and evidence ownership.

Outputs. Risk register, remediation plan, implementation acceptance evidence and operational ownership.

Value test. Evaluate critical-system coverage, overdue reviews and closure of priority findings. Do not equate tool deployment with an effective control environment.

Enterprise data and management reporting

Business situation. A multi-business enterprise reconciles performance reports manually because source systems use different definitions.

Proposed work. Select priority decisions and reports; agree definitions; map sources; implement the required integration and quality checks; release an accepted dashboard and support model.

Outputs. Shared definitions, reconciled datasets, reporting products and ownership.

Value test. Compare reporting effort, reconciliation accuracy, data freshness and actual user adoption with the baseline.
